When Fraud Protection Blocks a Web PageIf you try to browse to a web site known by Fraud Protection to be fraudulent, a "Blocked" message will appear within your browser. How does Fraud Protection know a web site is fraudulent?When you instruct your browser to display a web page, the URL of the web page is compared to a list of known fraudulent web site URLs. If a web page is considered fraudulent, Fraud Protection displays the "Blocked" page. This database of fraud URLs is stored on remote servers so you are always using the most up-to-date list. I received a phishing email; why wasn't it blocked?Fraud Protection blocks web pages when you view them through your web browser. It does not stop you from receiving or replying to phishing emails. |
